Attractions

Glen Innes is in the beautiful region of New England NSW, has four distinct seasons and arguably, the best summer climate in Australia. While summer temperatures reach up to the mid-thirties, it always cools down at night. Spring and Autumn are awash with colours and when conditions are right, it even snows in winter! We have the Minerama festival (gems and minerals) in March for the keen fossicker and The Australian Celtic Festival is held in May at the Standing Stones every year and attracts visitors worldwide.

We have a number of quality cafe's, boutique shops and restaurants in town as well as the more commercial outlets. We have the World Heritage listed Washpool National Park on our doorstep and the Gibraltar Range National Park with it's towering Banksia trees and dramatic waterfalls.

Local attractions include the Beardy House Museum (in the original Hospital) and the Emmaville Mining Museum in Emmaville.
